Founded by the Yağcı family’s father, the brand started as a small workshop dedicated to crafting high-quality leather shoes with a focus on timeless design and superior craftsmanship.
Growing up surrounded by the art of shoemaking, brothers Süleyman Yağcı and Ali Yağcı inherited both their father’s skills and his entrepreneurial spirit. In 2010, they took the bold step of expanding the family business beyond Turkey’s borders. Driven by a commitment to quality and innovation, they introduced Calvano to international markets, starting with exports to Europe, the UK, Australia, and Russia.
In 2014, the brothers officially founded Calvano as a brand in South Africa, blending decades of family shoemaking tradition with modern styles tailored for global tastes. Today, Calvano continues to grow as a symbol of refined craftsmanship, offering footwear that bridges tradition with contemporary elegance.

Here at Calvano shoes, we have specialisation on manufacturing high quality footwear with 3 generations of the footwear industry experience for both men and women footwear. Highest quality materials like finest genuine calf leather is used in our production. Leather cutting is carried out by CNC machines automatically based on the design to achieve perfection. We put high quality and the foot comfort beyond all.
Available services are as follows:
- Manufacture based on customer’s design
- Manufacture WIP parts to decrease your cost of manufacture such as soles, heel counter, backstay, tongue, vamp, toe box heel etc
- In-house designers have the expertise to design the shoe based on your needs
- Creation of a whole winter or summer collection based on your needs. Following the demo and final revisions from the client manufacturing starts accordingly
- Cost down projects can be arranged by changing material types
- No MOQ for the orders
- Request your sample whenever you want either from our catalogue of for your own design
